Community Support Campaign
We are building stronger communities...one child, one family, one person at a time.
YMCA Camp Ocoee provides campers and family's the opportunity to unplug from technology, connect with people, learn our 5 core values (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Faith) and experience nature.
As a not for profit organization, we rely on friends and donors to ensure we are able to provide scholarships to those in need. Your gift makes it possible for anyone to attend a program, whether it's a session of summer camp, a church retreat, an educational field trip with their school or a weekend bonding with family.
- 22% of our summer campers attend through our scholarship program
- Average scholarship is 65% off the standard camp fee
- Average gross income of our scholarship families is $26,850 annually with 2+ children
We believe every child and family deserves the opportunity to come to Camp Ocoee, regardless of their ability to pay. In fact, every year we provide scholarships to hundreds of campers, groups and families.
This has been such an invaluable experience for her and a blessing for us that cannot be expressed sufficiently in words. The feeling of being able to give your child hope and a new perspective on life is priceless and we could not have provided this without the generosity of the donors. - Camp Scholarship Parent

YMCA Camp Ocoee Endowment Fund
Gifts to the Camp Ocoee Endowment Fund provide funding for camp scholarships. The Endowment Fund draws only on interest, never on principal. In this way we give everyone, and especially our youngsters, the security of knowing something about their future... that there will always be a Y. A gift of $10,000 will endow one scholarship a year for eternity.
Gifts take many forms including a bequest through one's will or trust, appreciated assets such as stock, naming the YMCA as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement account, or by making a direct cash contribution. A gift can be structured to provide financial security for you, as a donor, and your heirs while maximizing its impact for the Y. As a member of the Heritage Club, you send a message to the next generation that says, "We Care!"
